In general principle, no. However, I just read of somehow who arranged for a $175 (?) fee to pick up the car outside of regular hours. Why not just pick it up on Friday?

And is that non negotiable - even for a fee? Shouldn't need it myself - but in the event something happens and I don't make it by Friday 3 PM (I fly in around Midday) due to flights etc - have you heard of any alternative arrangements being made - otherwise I would end up being stuck without the car for the weekend - good plans could turn bad

not negotiable.... even for a fee. The whole distrinbution center shuts down for weekend. If you miss it on Friday, then try again on Monday morning. If you have anydoubts that you may not be there on time, may I suggest that you take an extra day off and fly into MUC one day ahead
