I am well and truly suffering

OMG, my car is at the VPC and isn't scheduled to go into the paint shop until tomorrow (9/2). That means no chance of my car this holiday weekend and no chance I'll get it until late September since I am going to Europe next week on business.

It arrived on 8/18 and cleared customs on 8/23. And I am not upset at BMW; I am grateful.

The car got scratched the day I picked it up (7/20). Actually, I believe it was delivered with a scratch since we noticed it at the first rest stop on the Autobahn to Vienna.

While the car was on the way here, I pleaded with the ED folks to fix it at the VPC. They kept telling me it would delay redelivery, and I kept telling them they're the only people I would trust to fix a deep scratch in the rear quarter panel of a new 3.

They said, "Are you sure you'll be OK waiting?" And I kept saying, sure, no problem.

Now, I've gotten what I want, thanks to BMW takin' care of me.

But, oh the pain of waiting! Woe is frickin' me!

My family rolls their eyes every time I talk about the car. People at work avoid me. (Maybe that started before I bought a BMW.)

In fact, the only people who might care (and very little at that) are people who hang on this board and who have suffered anticipation like mine.

So, yeah, I am fishing for sympathy. I may not deserve it, but if I can't get any here, I ain't gonna get it anywhere.

Your car is in the best of hands. Donīt worry, the patient will survive. You must go on - for the E90s sake.

Heheh You get NO sympathy from me Alex

There is NO free lunch and there is CERTAINLY a price to be paid on ED, it is just not measured in monetary terms.

Get used to pal , after over a dozen times of this process I've learned to keep myself busy w/ others things in life. This is a G-R-E-A-T time to catch up on reading on books that you were suppose to read in High School, but decided to "Cliff Noted" . Shall we start w/ that big arse book called "War and Peace" ???

cheers,

beewang

I feel your pain! I know the wait is a killer, even more so when the car is stuck somewhere. My pain was the three weeks the car sat in customs! Hang in there, it will be worth it in the end !!!!

I have started collecting new toys to distract myself... the most recent one was a Razr... but I couldn't stop thinking on how well it will pair with the bluetooth in the new car... I WANT MY CAR NOW........
