Can I cancel my ED ? I might not get my visa..

I can't believe that this is happening to me

After 3 month of planning and dying in anticipation... looks like there is a BIG chance that my German visa will be rejected I'm partly to blame since rather than trying to explain that I will get my Bimmer and just drive around and stay in any B&B that I hit when I can't drive no more...

I created an itenerary on Expedia and printed it to submit with my visa papers as a proof that I have an address while in Germany... Since I didn't actually pay for that hotel yet, its not really reserved.... Turns out that they actually called the hotel to check on me my papers returned after 2 weeks with "address questionalble" and I bet that it didn't help that I'm an Arab as well.. But I'm buying a darn $40K car

I corrected my mistake and did an actuall booking and payed and every thing and resent that to them... They told me they will check again and get back to me in 10 days...

You can imagin that I'm going NUTS. The next 10 days will pass like forever... I've been waiting for this for 3 years... and now its about to slip away......

If the worst happen. What am I supposed to do with my dealer? I already have a $500 down and was supposed to go tomorrow to put the rest of my downpayment and finish the paper work since my car has reached production status. .Can I cancel the order? Can I still get the car delivered without going to ED?

Please help.... and please wish me luck and may be I end up getting my visa, and my car... I promis that I will learn my lesson for the next time

The instructions for getting a German visa very clearly say that you must document your hotel reservations. Since reserving a hotel is not a biggie, it is not like prepaying, that is what you should have done.

It also helps to flood them with financial information. I provided them with a copy of my W2, bank statements, and credit card statement showing credit card limits. The biggest issue was trying to get proof of health insurance since the standard insurance card was not acceptable. It took over 2 months to get my health insurance company to write a letter stating that they would reimburse me for health related expenses I could incur abroad.

I am sure that in the end everything will work out. You are just being tested to make sure you deserve a BMW.

Keep wishing me luck everyone.. With enough power it might go through....

I'm confused. We haven't needed German visas (or visas from most any EU country) for years. When I flew into Munich a month ago, all I did was show them my passport and smile.

It would be helpful if you state your nationality so we can have a better point of reference
