Hi guys,
Here in Honolulu, there is only one BMW dealer: BMW of Honolulu. I spoke with the ED specialist here, and he refused to deal anything below ED MSRP. I know that people in the mainland have alot of successes getting $1k-$1.5k above invoice.
I was wondering:
Can I negociate a deal with a BMW dealer in the mainland? And, can I get the car shipping directly to Hawaii without the car stopping in the mainland dealership? In other words, does the "destination and handling" charge covers only to shipping to the dealer you purchase from, or does it cover pretty much anywhere in USA?
Thanks for your help.

You are in a monopoly market, and unless you are willing to ship the car from mainland to your location, you are pretty mych S.O.L.
The dealer will NOT accept a courtesy delivery because they know you are trying to go around their back to get a car. No one (i.e. BMWNA) can force them to accept a courtesy delivery, so unless you can find it economically to ship the car onyour won, I would just pay the piper.

NP I have long known that having an auto franchise at paradise its essentially license to print money. That is the price of living in Paradise
