Flooding in Europe a problem for road travel?
I'm going to Munich for ED in mid-September. Does anyone think all this flooding in Europe is also a problem on the major road ways between the the countries? It seems that the flooding is mainly in eastern Europe, but I'm wondering if flooding in western Europe will be a problem or not.
My route is Munich > Luxembourg > Paris > London

Thanks

Isar in Munich was flooding isolated parts of Munich and outlying towns but most of the hardest hit areas in Germany were in eastern Bavaria (Regensburg, Passau) and in the Upper Bavaria (upper meaning the highlands which is actually southern Bavaria). One of the Autobahns going west of Munich was closed a short time due to floods but last I heard it was reopened on Tuesday/early Wednesday. Depending on your exact routing, you may run into some washed out/closed secondary roads, especially if you skirt the Alps.
