any way to track a truck? :)

so dealer computer shows that VPC released the vehicle to Wagoneer Trucking today, on 23rd. but its weird because dealer computer shows that car is expected to arrive on 27th. i dont believe it takes 4 days to get from south california to north california. if i call wagoneer trucking, will they have a clue if i try to track my car?

I think when the car is "released to trucking" that means it can be put on the next available truck going to your area. It doesn't mean they put it on a truck that day.
As you can imagine they don't have daily departures from the VPC to every dealership.

I have a feeling your car is basically untrackable until the truck hits your dealer's parking lot. You're in the final stages of ED Compulsive Disorder.....there is no known medication or website or toll free number that can help you. But the good news is your redelivery is imminent.

Just call BMW assist and tell them your car was stolen so they turn on stolen vehicle recovery. They should be able to tell you exactly where you car is!

Actually, many trucks do have tracking capability. I have a nephew who used to drive a cross-country truck. He showed me the satellite nav/com setup in it. It was constantly tracked by satellite and the satellite setup had text messaging. He would often recieve routing for another pickup while at an offload point and if he had trouble could send in info to get support. Much like the airline's ACARS system.

I was going to make a smart response about EDCD (European Delivery Compulsive Disorder) but as I will probably be afflicted with it myself in about two months, I decided not to say anything about that.
