Has anyone found a better way to book a 5 star hotel in europe for cheaper than priceline? If so please enlighten.
In august I got the following:
Hotel Galia in Milan, Italy for $97 a night
Intercontinental Roma in Rome, Italy for $227 a night (pricey but I know Rome a huge spot for tourism in August.
I certainly don't mind getting 4 star hotels as they are usually very nice as well and have many of the same services minus some of the luxury amenities the 5 star might offer.

I saw a commercial advertising hotwire.com. They were comparing themselves to Priceline, so you might give it a try.

Check BidOnTravel.com. There is another website out there that has a forum that people post the prices that they get, but I can't remember it. It is around here somewhere, you have to search for it.
