As I read the posts in the ED forum here, I realize that I'm in the last stage of ED syndrome.
1. Excited about ordering the car and planning the trip. Read all beewang's posts.
2. Waiting for the trip to happen. Three months seemed like a year.
3. The plane ride, the delivery, and the vacation. Two weeks seemed way too short.
4. The missing of the car and waiting patiently for redelivery. This stage lasted two weeks.
5. Daily checking of ship positions and crying about how slow VPC is.
6. Elation at the reunion between owner and car.
7. Its exactly a year after I walked into the delivery center and the honeymoon's over; I want to do it again!!!! The only problem is I love my car and can't see parting with it just to do the trip again, and money prevents me from just buying another. I guess I'll just have to fly over and rent a car, but its just not the same.

Post ED blues - a one year update
) In between EDs I went in 99 and 01 and rented cars both times (plus in 94). Had a bunch of fun each time. Its not like driving your own brand new BMW and you don't have the anticipation like you do with ED, but you can still go anywhere you want in Europe and the sights are the same and the memories except the obvious are just as good!
