We did a Volvo ED last June and we're interested in getting a 5er next summer. Just curious about this. When we drove into Bergen (Bryggen) Norway, road signs said that we were on a toll road and that toll would be collected by video cameras. There were no toll booths. It's a long story but we did not get to drive our own car but a factory courtesy car instead. Had we been driving our own car with ED plates, would we have gotten a bill in the mail? This happened in a couple of other places near Oslo I think.

As a habit I almost always collect a photo speeding tix as well as collect a couple parking tix while in Germany. Unless you are being cited by a real cop (which I have not been) those citations are not really collectible under the current system. If you have been pulled over by a real cop (envivo), they will usually require cash payment for your fine right there on the spot. This happen to the F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya (who is Colombia but reside in Monoco/Miami). Caught speeding 100 KPH over the posted limit in France, Was escorted to ATM for him to withdraw $10k of fine and his license privelage was suspended for a year (in France) and the cops asked for his autograph as well.

$10,000 fine are you kidding me
I was an idiot and told a cop writing a parking ticket that it was my car so had to pay him right there because I thought either a) they would tow/boot it, or b) I could get out of the ticket
