Hi guys. I finally ordered my 330i a few days back, and was yesterday given my delivery date... Oct. 27th. It's a little late in the year, I was hoping to get there a month or so earlier, but work constraints prevented me from getting into the dealership any sooner to place the order.
I'm sure I'll be asking questions aand sharing my plans in the coming weeks, but I just wanted to post a message about my happy news.

Had you requested that as a day? I requested 10/17 and am awaiting final word from the dealer if that will in fact be the day. I'm just curious, based on your experience, if I should hold off making plans for that week in case BMW pushes my delivery date back.

-Brendan | So how did it work for you? When did you place the order, therefore how long for confirmation? I placed my order thursday week ago and have not been given confirmation.

Well, I really just wanted the earliest date I could get... I'd like to get there before the really cold weather. Since they wouldn't just request a date of "ASAP," I chose two arbitrary dates, one 60 days out, and one 75 days out. They accepted the later date.
From the time I placed my deposit, to the the receipt of my delivery date, 3 days elapsed. I got everything taken care of the night I placed my order. I went back to the dealership with my passport, and all other docs they needed to really push the paperwork through.
