NYK vessel "Kassel" Due 7/30 Oxnard

It turns out that I'm not on the Trianon but the Kassel...Harms gave me the updated info yesterday.

The Kassel left Bremerhaven yesterday July 8th and has just past the narrow part of the English Channel. I'm guessing it doesn't stop at many ports before Oxnard (Pt Hueneme) because it is due there in 22 days.

Update: It sailed past Zeebruge and Southampton without stopping. I can't get into the schedule info on the NYK website so I'm just tracking the ship on the AIS site.

Anyone else on this ship?

Shirley I'm not the only one on this 5,200 car barge. Got my letter from BMWNA today confirming this vessel....anyone else?

The only stops I've seen after Bremerhaven are Southampton, Jacksonville and San Diego. It may typically be an either / or for Jacksonville / San Diego. Grus only stopped in Jacksonville and did about a day layover in the Panama Canal, as did some others.

Kassel stops in Baltimore before San Diego and Pt Hueneme (info from San Diego's port website)

Clearly the Kassel is loaded with Mercedes as they have a dropoff facility in Baltimore. I guess I'll have to console my car about having to travel second class.

Last year I was driving my ED car 7 days after the boat docked in PtH....but San Diego is a little closer than Oregon. 20 days seems extreme....10 days seems reasonable.

I got a letter yesterday that my 330i is on the Kassel too. I dropped off on 1 July at Harms in Munich. I'm hoping it will be ready at Stevens Creek BMW in Santa Clara by 15th of August.
