I’m thinking of taking my laptop with me on the ED trip. How easy is it to find internet connections in Germany? Are there many Hot Spots? Do hotels have high speed connection?

I found wireless in the hotels in Germany and Switzerland that I stayed in. The one hotel near the Munich airport that didn't have wireless had a computer for guest use in the lobby.

| High speed Internet access is fairly ubiquitous in the BRD, although in hotels it can also be rather dear.
While there are quite a few T-Mobile HotSpots, there are also many other providers who can be accessed at Kaffeehäuser and restaurants and other public spaces.

On the same lines, how easy it is to buy a prepaid GSM simcard for your cellphone,
that you can use during ED trip.

How do you guys recharge your laptop? I took mine on my trip, but was unable to find a three prong converter to recharge.

-JC. | It is very easy, but the problem is that your GSM phone needs to be 1) a GSM world phone and 2) unlocked for you to be able to use providers other than your home provider.
