A little late, but figured I'd mention the trip.

Heard about ED through the grape vine and finally took the plunge for the first time. Man, what a blast. Nothing better than driving a fine automobile on vacation instead of the usual Alfa Romeo rental!

Had the fortune of meeting a few bimmerfest members from Chicago during our delivery. I believe four of them were picking up their cars at the same time.

Here are some pictures from the trip to hopefully make others get interested!

Some advice from the trip:
1) Make sure to drive Passo di Stelvio! One crazy and fun pass.
2) Make sure to drive Timmelsjoch Pass. Another fun road.
2) Recommend not picking the car up directly from the airport after 24 hours of no sleep!!! Nothing crazier than learning the car, roads and laws while beeing loopy!

Thanks for the photos...they are stunning! Are you a National Geographic photographer or something? My favorite is the dog in the fountain!!

Oh, the car is cool too.

Hey Gary, I was the guy parked next to you at the delivery center garage (part of the big group pickup)! I think I took the first picture on your album! Glad to hear you had a great trip, we did as well.

Unfortunately, just those there. It was raining most of the days and impossible to keep it clean. When it arrives I'll have to take a few pics down some of the canyons near me.

Thanks, but just an enthusiast. The wife got a little tired of how long setting up the camera every time, but thought it was worth it. I like the dog, nothing better than just hanging around and getting a random picture of life happening. Also, just missed you. We picked up on June 27th.

Fanstastic, how did your week turn out ? Hopefully, as well as ours. It was an absolute blast. The complaint is I wish a whole summer to spend instead of just two weeks (and I could have done with a little less rain).

We had an amazing week, but I completely agree with you, the whole summer would have been nice! I can't imagine a better way to buy a car. My trip writeup with photos is right here:
