 My ED plan.. Suggestions welcomed

Here is my plan for my first ED. I've never been to Europe so please post any comments or changes that you think would help. Thanks in advance.

Note that my goals to enjoy this trip are 1. Driving, 2. Driving, 3. The food. Believe it or not, I don't drink, so don't worry about beer comments

Here goes:

9/21 Arrive Paris.. Meet with old friends comming to join me in my ED and walk around

9/22 Fly to Munich, arrive @ 10:15, get to the delivary center and take delivary of my E90 SG/Blk
Drive around Germany for the whole day.
How far do I need to drive to "break in the car" and how fast can I go
Also, all of you autobahn/autostrad vetrans, please advise on which roads to enjoy an ultimate drive, my destination in Zurich for that night
Drive through the Alps to Zurich a little before sunset, just to spend the night there

9/23 Head out early, utilizing the jet lag, through the Alps to Verona for breakfast then to Vinice or a couple of days

9/24 Start at night to Genoa just to spend the night so we don't have to do that drive the next morning

9/25 Head to the Cote D'Azure, Monaco, Cans. Nice for a couple of days

9/26 Wash the car. They told me its an agreculture requirment that I much wash the car !!!
Drop off in Nice
Fly to Paris

9/27 Fly from Prise to Egypt for the rest of my vacation

Any comments are very welcome.. thanks in advance...

Since you are not spending too much time in germany, I would suggest take the Dingolfing factory tour, if possible. Everybody here seems to love it. Then you can go to Fussen and check out some nice castles amazing scenery. If you have navigation then you are in luck, get the euro version dvd for the trip. I cant imagine myself driving without navigation (take me ages to start pronouncing the names right). Autobahns are nice but they have speed limit. Try not to go over the limits as they have hidden speeding cameras and whenever you see a sign as Bee's avatar (meaning no limit), floor the damn thing.

While coming back from Fussen to Munich I took the back roads and I loved it thousand times more the autobahn. Autobahn is crazy drag race kind of a thing, but the really fun comes from the twisties. Beautiful scenery, mountain surroundings was awesome.

You can also go to Salzburgh, Austria. Its only ~200 miles from Munich, very nice drive.
Have fun

Thanks abhigogna .. I do have NAV and I already downloaded my DVD
I didn't know that there are speed limits on the Autobahn, thought that its all open speed Any idea about break-in distance?

Wow...sounds like fun....but on a first glance it seems like WAAAAY too much driving and not enough time in the places you're driving TO!

Munich to Zurich to Verona/Venice to Genoa....lots of zig zag there. I would go Munich to Venice (via Innsbruck) Then Genoa. I'd skip Zurich and just continue to Monaco, Nice etc. I think too many people end up getting to a great city and end up too tired to see anything.....and then start all over the next morning. Just my opinion.

You're going to love Egypt.

I agree with you and my plan didn't include Zurich.. However, one of my friends has a work thing in Zurich that would end on the 22nd so I have to go to pick him up...

I don't mind too much driving, this is why I'm going I will do minimum sight seeing since I'm leaving my wife and son behind for our next year trip... I'm traveling single this time so I would not get any "slow down we have a baby in the car"

And I WILL love Egypt since I'm originally from there.. six FREE days, my friends and family will pay for everything I do or want there

I gotcha....sounds like fun. I think you'll find that after you pick up the car you'll just start driving towards Zurich with maybe a stop in Fussen to see the castles. Remember that if your plane gets in at 10:15 you won't be driving your car until 1 or 2pm....so you don't have a full day.

Hey, hows this for some Egyptian: wahd, fneen, taletah, arbha, seta, saba, tamana, tesa, ashara....hmmm....what number am I missing?? hamsa??
