No need for it. Just look for this sign:

Which means end of all restrictions. At this point put your left blinker on, pedal to the metal and go Porsche hunting. Remember the rule of respect: Porsche, Benz, BMW, Audi.

You don't need any bloody map and forget those "rules of respect", either you are or you are not driving faster than someone else. Move right when you can, and don't hold anyone up.

Driving with the left blinker on is considered rude. I got a ticket in Belgium on my first ED and they guy didn't speak much English, but when I tried to get out of it, he wiggled my blinker stalk and manged 'but you are always weeth theese".

After that I learned about the rudeness of the left blinker.

Meant it as sarcasm....
Totally agree, but if you don't show respect make sure you can stand on your feet . A proud Pcar driver will be more than happy to put you back in place (right lane that is).
Man, I can't wait to go Porsche hunting with the M. After 1200 miles of course.

"Tough" petrol heads of the Autobahn blink left to demonstrate the "machismo" and the fact that they mean business .

Be careful but it should be a bunch of fun. There are not many machines there that will trump an M after 1200 miles. The only ones I really have seen driving fast are typically big Audis and Big BMWs, otherwise only a rare sports car.

Hi!

Here

http://www.home.fh-karlsruhe.de/~scpa0023/Autobahn.html

is a list of all autobahnen (sorry only in german) sorted by numbers with shown speed limits.

Short translation of a part of the "Legende" section:

Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkungen (unvollständig):

100 Ständiges Tempolimit (speedlimit always in effect)
100 Tempolimit bei Nässe (speedlimit on wet weather)
60 Tempolimit für Kfz über 3, 5 t (speedlimit for vehicles with weight of 3,5 t +)
(100) Zeitlich beschränktes Tempolimit (Zeitspanne im blauen Kasten)
(temporary speed limit, times shown in blue box)
<100> Verkehrsbeeinflussungsanlage: häufigste Anzeige
(dynamic traffic sign: most frequent signal/speed limit)
< x > Verkehrsbeeinflussungsanlage:
verschiedene Anzeigen oder Anzeige unbekannt
(temorary speed limit, different signals or unknown signals)
– kein Tempolimit
(no speed limit)
