Two O'fests ago I made plans for a Europe trip one month in advance, and thought it would be neat to go to O'fest. The problem was that I had a hard time finding a room near the for two under 200 bucks that was near the festival grounds.

By luck, i found the Hotel Maria stayed there at the last weekend of O'fest. The pricing is fairly inexpensive by festival standards. The rooms are simple, but very clean. If you don't mind a dorm style type of room this is what you'd get. They have a big spread for breakfast which is included. There's always people in the lounge downstairs if you want to chat with party goers.

The location was the best part. It's 1 block from main entrance. It's on Schwanthalerstrasse which is one block from the Hotel Krupfalz.

a couple of tips if this is your first festival. If you want a table at the HB tent, get there by 10:30am. On the weekend, they lock out the HB tent by 11:30.

Once inside, find a waitress and ask politely they can find you a table. Most of the unreserved tables will be taken quickly. Our waitress found a table of 6 German guys who had room for two more. Be nice and tip the waitress. She's your hookups for that table and for any food and drinks. Whatever you do, in HB tent, seating is gold. Have you're table mates guard your seat if you hit the loo.

Enjoy!

........
Yes!! That is VERY important

Also, for God's sake, wear good shoes protection, no sandles of any type unless you want to bleed to death
