They are right near each other(about a block or less). I stayed at the Marriott and it was nice and clean. I hear the Marriott is a bit nicer as far as the rooms. There is plenty of parking on the street so you can avoid the high indoor parking. You'll notice there are tons of nice, or even nicer cars around so don't worry about damage.

I stayed in the Marriott as well. Was fine and cheap. I think I paid $68/night by using Priceline, using tips from biddingfortravel.com that I learned about here. As yamilrx mentioned, they are very close to each other, and close to the subway as well. You are 4 stops from downtown, and 2 stops from Freimann. You can't lose with either.

BTW, the pool in the Marriott was a big plus to wake us up after the initial 2 hour nap. Had the whole thing to ourselves.

I never checked out the pool there. May need to on my trip. I like the Marriott a lot. You can even choose to walk to Leopoldstrasse and walk it all the way down to the city center. It really isn't that far.

You can choose for example Munich center North or whatever and risk getting the Marriott. I didn't mind either one so it worked out that I got the Marriott. I think the option was city center North and the Marriott pops up.
