I'm looking for a good sales rep/dealer to work with on an ED purchase in the Virginia/DC area. Of course I want to get a great price and work with someone who is knowledgable with the process. Anybody have any recommendations?

I am having a good experience with Tom Brown at Tischer in Silver Spring. I tried VOB and Sterling before going to Tischer. I did not know about Joern @ Passport, but he is highly respected around here.

Joern grew up in Munich, so he knows the area for what that's worth. He also specializes in ED and diplomats, so he deals with this all the time. My experience with him has been a pleasure so far. Very professional, helpful and more than fair. I had read good things about him on these forums, and I fortunately live close. There are no doubt other good ones out there, but I have not had a better car buying experience so far than what I've had so far with this one. It's just been extremely easy the whole way so far. I'll let you know how it goes the rest of the way...

I'll have to put my two cents in for Joern as well. He's done an awesome job so far. And there was no haggling on my ED - we agreed on a competitive deal right up front. Richmond's not that far from DC, you should give him a shout. Passport's located right on the Beltway close to Andrews AFB. Let him know you got his name from Bimmerfest.
