Hi, Its been almost a week since we put in the order but our sales person has not called or returned a call for our ED date. We are trying to setup the vacation time asap.. Anyone know what a reasonable amount of time is to hear back from ED with a date?  |

If you haven't heard from your salesperson, its likely that you got your date and everything is fine. I am relatively sure that they know if the date is good or not within a day or two of submitting the request.

but we have no real date submitted yet... its a 330xi and we gave him a range of dates (mid -nov) and was going to find out available days and get back to us so we can pick one...

I would think that all days in Mid Nov are available to you (unless there is a holiday in Germany) so I would pick the date YOU want and tell your SA to book it. The sooner you confirm your date the sooner you can book airfare and maybe get some good advance purchase flights. Same for hotels.

I imagine if he's got to find a range of dates, it will take longer to get a response. Just pick your best date, and get that. If it doesn't work, pick again.

We ordered our vehicle about 10 days ago. We requested a delivery date of 10/03/2005.
I talked to my sales rep (client adviser?) last Friday. He said that no production codes had
been issued yet as BMW North America is waiting for their September (allotments?).
I'm like you, wanting to book airfare and hotel/apartment reservations. I'm hoping that
with a production code we will also get a pick-up date so that we can get going on
these things. I know your concern.
