Parking in Venice
We plan on spending a couple of days in Venice during our trip. I know that parking for cars in the area of Venice is scarce and not too secure. Does anyone had any experience with parking or any tips?

Its about 1/4 mile off to the right and iseemed quite safe to me. Plenty of parking spaces there to, 4 or 5 floors. You can then take a vaporetto from the front all the way to St Marcos, around to the Grand Canal and back. No problem.
It's here where the mouse pointer is pointing at... follow the red lines from the bridge.

Why I know this, i rented a car from Eurocar in Munich, and I wanted an Audi A4 for a one way to Venice, and the advisor advised me "NO GERMAN CARS can be rented out for one way to italy, you can only get an Italian car", in this heavy German Accent, so I ask why? He says, " German cars never come back to Germany due to a high theft rate"
OH, I SEE..YAH! and when it comes to money and their business, i believe him.

Oh man... same old tired Bullshiite. WHEN will people stop repeating this non-sense.
We even had this discussion with Bernhard at the meetup and he said SOOO many Germans go to Italy on vacation with no problems whatsoever, and in his 20+ years of working ED/Deliveries, etc... he said 2 cars have been stolen the whole time.
This is mindless repetition of old wives tales... yeah, right... it's his business, etc... I've been there twice for over a month of total time in Italy alone in two new M3s, one Imola red and stuck out... never a problem. Don't listen to this drivel.

Hey, wouldnt it suck if you came back from your nice Venice tour only to find out your new e90 just got stolen? How crappy would that be?
