 Q: Timing of Munich pick-up

Just spent a couple hours reading posts here and in a couple of other boards on ED...All I can say is WOW, this is awesome! I'm seriously thinking of a Euro delivery for my 330i (to be ordered very soon).

Unless I'm missing something, I can't find any downside to ED

My question is, is delivery strictly based on the production build schedule or can you set it for whenever you want? Even if you can set the delivery, can it be adjusted later on by a week or 2? (my job is kinda dynamic, won't be able to commit to a specific week off 'till 1-2 weeks before the event)

TIA

I've heard of many people that delayed their pickup....it shouldn't be a problem but tell your salesperson (after you've negotiated everything) that there may be a possible delay.

I think the factories shut down in August so consult your salesperson about that. Model change-over and model-year changeover schedules happen in Sept (most of the time) so you might not get your 2006 model built until Sept meaning an end of Sept/early Oct delivery in Munich.

Enjoy!

You can delay your delivery date. You just can't move it up.

Awesome, thanks a lot!

That doesn't mean they'll delay the production. It just means your car will sit on the lot until you pick it up.
