I will pick up the car on Tue, we want to spend sometime in Amsterdam. Seems like its about 300 miles, I think I can start early in the Wed morning and get there at the evening...Is this too much of driving in 1 day or should we have a stopover somewhere in between, any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks | It is doable. Read this thread from Tashi who left Munich at 4:00 PM and was in Amsterdam shortly after 11:00 PM. And that was only the beginning of his marathon ED trip.

Can you handle a drive like that?? | Thanks Bee, I think I can handle the drive esp with my new toy  ....The reason I need advice is I can either spend 2 days in Amsterdam or 1 day of stopover somewhere and just 1 day in Amsterdam.
This is our 1st Europe trip and don't want to miss any interesting place to visit

Thanks | Dude.. get there in the evening? Remember, you're driving at 100+ mph. It's a 3 hour jaunt. I drove from Freiburg Germany to Barcelona, the entire width of France, in 7 hours, including stops.

From Munich to Amsterdam is over 500 miles (513.86 miles to be exact), but you should be able to do it in 5-6 hours. If you hit Amsterdam area around 5 you might be stuck in traffic.
