Considering I scheduled this 4 months ago, time sure flew by. I cant belive I get to smell my new 545 tomorrow.
Connected and surfing the net wireless at 192kbps... I cant believe it works. However, I was not able to make a phone call from my laptop using the IP phone system at work via VPN. That would have been the s h i t s. I think they block the port that is used for voice.
Thanks to all for all the good advice. Will send pics from the road.

Lufthansa has the FlyNet program that provides Wireless Internet on long haul flights. It's roughly $50 / one way. The service is awsome, especially if you fly biz or first since you get a real power outlet also. Economy does not give you power, so you either pack in an additional battery or go beg the biz section to let you charge up
I wonder if Skype would work?

Its a joint venture by Boeing's Connexion with Lufthansa's FlyNet. Other airlines are starting to have it also (SAS, JAL, ANA) but mainly the intl's
It's $29.95 for flights >6 hours. In biz class, I believe they have ethernet ports or wireless but in coach I don't think they have ethernet ports. I tried it in Lufthansa's coach- it's difficult to see your laptop when the seat in front of you reclines. http://www.connexionbyboeing.com/ind...l=en.US&ec=&e=
