Just leaving Munich after 2 wonderful weeks. I thought I would report current Gasoline pricing. The Premium + or Ultimate + 98 Octane is ranging anywhere from 1.21 Euro to 1.32 Euro. Pricing in the Netherlands was higher than Belgium, France or Germany. Prices were best at a Chain called JET.
Automatic car washes were readily available at in town Gas Stations such as Shell and ARAL. Didn't see any full service car washes but I'm sure they exist. Prices were from 6 to 10 Euro's for the Wash.

Wow! Knew it was more, but not how much more than US.
Someone check if I got this wrong. On a quick calculation:
You give price of suitable octane at average about E1.25/Liter or 1.25 x 1.25272 (Friday 5/13/05 E/$ exchange rate) = $1.5659/Liter
$1.57 x 3.7854 (liters per gallon) = $5.94308
Did I get a conversion wrong? If not, at almost $6 per gallon on the ED that new BMW is going to seem like an economy car when you get it back to the states

Yes, that is about what I was paying... on the high end of that, 1.28-1.32, this was in March. Last night I found a file with my last Euro Delivery expenses, this trip I spent $650.00 on petrol (1990 miles), in 1997 I spent $1150.00 on petrol!!! Yikes. (4500 high speed miles, 30 day ED)

I paid 1.09 € this morning in Austria. But it has varied a lot during the trip - much cheaper outside the cities, just like US.
