All,
I just worked out a deal on ED of a 530i- luckily, my fiance' and I are getting married over in Munich (late September) so this could be a perfect fit.
As a show of hands, is the typical shipping time (back from Germany) greater than 30 days? (in browsing around, it looks like it is- even though the dealer says otherwise).
Does the BMW dealership typically provide a "loaner" car upon returning? (or is this something which can be negotiated?)
Can't wait-

Yes, it's typically longer than 30 days... and no, I've never heard of a dealer providing a loaner car. The wait without a car is just part of the fun!
You'll still have a blast though! Have fun...

On the East Coast, delivery time should not be much more than 4 weeks.

Can't wait- | I can't remember who it was, but someone in the D.C. area got a loaner car. He had previously purchased many bmw's from the dealer and was able to work it out.
good luck.

good luck. | I think that's the exception, not the rule. One of the downsides to ED--no car for a period of time. Just rent something for a few weeks, if you really need the car.
