It's on- again!
I loved ED so much that I had to do it again ASAP. I love my '04 M3 SMG coupe enough that I want a brand new one before production ceases. We are going to Europe for Monza and Spa F1 this year anyway.
So, the pickup date is confirmed, Sept. 1. '05 M3 Silver-Grey/Blk, SMG, Competition package, Power Htd. seats, Xenons, moonroof.
Basically the same car I have now but with the comp. pack.
I'm so stoked to do it all over again!
I really don't mean to be gloating, sorry.

You're not gloating...it is a rare experience we are allowed to have thanks to BMW  . You could visit another country and rent a car, but would it be as good?  You could ED with another car company, but my wife, who has driven 3 previous Mercedes under the influence of her kindly, but squarish dad, was surprised by the BMW driving experience she never knew existed until I got her an X5 (but I couldn't ED again with this  ). Think how much better driving your own M on the Autobahn is...it's unique!  Go for it again, man!

I thought I read somewhere that you can't get M's on ED? Not true?

Yes, obviously not true. No special ED MSRP for M3's though, but everything else is identical for the customer. The dealer also does not get a 'free' sale from a M3, ie: He takes the M3 out of his allocation, whereas the other cars are essentially an extra sale (assuming the dealer sells all their allocated cars)

Hey, man, keep gloating. You're my idol.
I did a 330Cic ED, and am working my way to an M3.
I've been to six F1 circuits (Nurburgring, Suzuka, Montreal, Monaco, Indy, Silverstone - testing session) but still working my way to the other ones. Great to see that there are real F1 fans on this board.
Plus that you seem to be the only one who really "gets" Italy. I lived there for a year and I love it!
