I'm scheduling delivery for late August and I'm trying to set up my itinerary. My flight arrives in Munich at 8:30 am. Is there enough time to pick up the car the same day? How long does it take? Thanks

If you get in at 8:30 you have time to:
1. go to your hotel 2. take a shower 3. have lunch 4. go to the delivery center

Probably mid-morning into shower. Go get car in afternoon. The pickup shouldn't take more than an hour or so (and that assumes some waiting). If you get there early afternoon (1pm) you should have absolutely no problem.
that said, if you have the time and are planning to be in Munich beyond that first day, I would wait until the next day to get your car.

Yes they still have the free food and drinks. Does it take the place of a good German lunch? Um.....no.

I'd liken it to coach-class fare on domestic airlines. Beer excepted, or course. It may work, but I'd rather explore other culinary delights in Germany.
