I thought that getting a tour of the factory was included, or an option..the way I read people talking about it sounds as if its a priveledge and not common. Whats the deal?

You just need to setup and appointment for it. Since English tours are conducted a couple times a month. Don't expect to do this last minute.

I have a July 27 delivery date, should I schedule it for the same day or the next day? Is there still time for this about 4 weeks away? How do I make an appointment? Are there tours of where the X3 is built in Austria?

Are there tours of where the X3 is built in Austria? | Schedule now. What time is pickup? The tour is 2-3 hours, and leaves on time (of course, it's in Germany). You can do both, but not if you pick up close to the tour. But geting from pickup to tour takes 15 mins max. And, if you do it, you can take a cool picture of your car in front of the four cylinders.

I don't know the pick up time, I get to Munich at 8am..so probably to hotel at 930am if I can check in that early, shower and head to pickup or to lunch and pickup, something like that. When do I find out the pick up time?

This will put you in contact w/ BMWNA's factory tour coordinator; they will put your request through to Germany and get back to you....don't wait until the last minute, though, probably 4 week lead time is best....Good luck
