 Help, drilled rear trunk issue

Matt,
I have send a copy of your letter to my contact at ED office. Please keep a record of the expenses you inccured (i.e. The Nav Disk you purchased, and anything else you inccured for the inconvience) and receipts. I will keep you posted on Monday, so please check your PM box. Do not worry, they will take care of you.

I am glad you got the X3 w/ nav (BTW, that nav is a diff. system and will not work w/ the disk I send you).

cheers,

beewang
Bee:

Although this story looks MUCH worse than my own (5/6 post re holes in my trunk lid) do you have any advice as to how best resolve my problem? I have not heard anything yet (redelivery 5/5) from BMW and Joern says to be patient because they're VERY slow.

Meanwhile I'm driving round in a brand new car with two holes drilled in the rear of my trunk lid, apparently by someone in the ED process since that reportedly did not show up until the rear Euro plate was removed by the dealer here right before redelivery.

I gather from some of the responses I got to my post that I should not expect too much from Customer Service, although I have not contacted them myself yet - so far relying on Joern.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Can you post pics of the damage?

tmjb, I split your post apart from the other in order to better address your issue.
I have to agree w/ arnolds. Can you please post some pictures??

If it is indeed out of ordinary, you can make a claim against Gerling. But I think its best that we take a look at the damage before we proceed.

regards,

Holy $h1T!!!

Contact Gerling Insurance Immediately. Where did you drop off the car again and how many miles between drop off and delivery?
