The S-bahn arrives at Freimann (there are many small villages that have been engulfed by the kingdom of Munich), and it is a 10 min walk through apartment and residential area on stone streets to a large complex of buildings culminating in a little gate that says "European Delivery." You know you're in the right place, but the gate is locked and you go around a little building on the left to a revolving gate with a ringer. They speak English (better than my German, I must admit). Then you go to the building that looks like the first picture below.
Inside, you go up to the counter and give your passport and US Driver license (I did not get an international driver license...but didn't have any trouble in Germany). As they gather everything, including your car

, you go upstairs for refreshment or lunch, presenting your voucher.

See the lunch counter picture, below. Then they call your name, you sign the papers (it's impossible to concentrate on this, because you know they are about to take you to the car

), then escort you through a little door that you can see at the far end of the garage (picture 3...also note my car, the "green monster," on the right). And, the rep shows you....your car

(just you wait until it's you

).
After a thorough (don't let them rush you) inspection of the technological marvels of a contemporary BMW, they let you drive out on the sweechy clean garage floor and turn to your right...proceed to the alleyway (see picture), a last checkpoint, and...the Autobahn

(I recommend the right lane until you get the feel of the car...this takes about a mile

) Next installment: the dropoff process...if yall are interested...
