I'm looking to buy a 2005 325i with ED. Do you know if I would have to pay taxes on that? I'm getting different responses from other people.
Thx

You know search function would probably help you answer this question immediately. Try to use it in the future. This has been discussed here ad nauseum. In essence yes. You do have to pay your local sales taxes. Your dealer will collect them from you.

Not always true. I will not be paying any taxes, at all, on my ED. Try not to be so obnoxious all of the time -- I know it comes naturally to some people, but come on already. What else should we talk about???

p.s I did use the search function but I couldn't find any answers that would clarify my questions.

Taking the lease through a federal credit union (who is buying the vehicle cash and leasing it to me) as an overseas delivery. When the lease expires I pay the residual and it's all mine. A neat feature is that you can make one payment up front and then have a 3-year lease with $0/month payments.

When the car get registered is Arizona are they not going to ask for proof that sales tax has been paid to some US political entity? That is how the majority of States work. I know that if I buy a car in Oregon where there is no sales tax on cars and then drive the car to Texas. I will have to pay local sales tax.
