 Dropoff in Frankfurt

Does anyone know how close the dropoff location is to the Frankfurt airport? My flight leaves @ 10:55AM. Would I be cutting it too close by trying to drop it off the morning of?

Thanks

Its very close to the airport...as I recall no more than 15 minutes. It's a little bit hard to find, even with NAV....when you turn off the main street, go straight till the service road dead ends, then turn right and go aways down that road and you'll eventually see it on the right hand side.

I just dropped my 330Ci in Frankfurt in May, and I agree it is difficult to find, even with the Nav System. I would not suggest dropping it off the day of your flight. Harms doesn't open until 8:30 AM and for international flights, you should be there 2 hours before. At Harms, it takes about a half hour to do the paperwork if no one else is there dropping their car off. Then someone has to be available to give you a ride to the airport or get a taxi. I did it in the afternoon the day before, and a Harms employee drove me to my hotel, Holiday Inn Airport North, and I had a nice dinner there that night. They have a shuttle to the airport for the next day. The other major thing at Frankfurt Airport is it takes a long time to go through 2 security checks, and they close the flights early. Be sure to email Harms in Frankfurt when you will be there. Have fun and enjoy. Good for you. I'm still waiting for my car to get here.

I did it in 2000 and barely got to my flight. It wasn't a very fun morning. You might want to email the contact in Frankfurt and ask them, maybe show up at 7:30 and hopefully somebody will show up early.

That would be cutting it close. It took me a while to find it myself. If you really were going to do that, print out a viamichelin map of the entire area and do a dry run to the place the night before. Make sure you have your car stripped of the first aid kit and triangle before you get there, maybe even give it a quick wash. And have Harms arrange a taxi/shuttle ASAP. From my experience, the drop-off process at Frankfurt took under a couple of hours but I was also wasn't in such a rush either and took my sweet time.

You have to be careful cutting it close in Frankfurt ... the airport security is really "diligent" and there often very long lines.
