Cocky BMW dealer on ED (Devonhill in PA)

Some times I really got to hand it to BMW sales.

I am in process of setting up an ED for my sister. I have done a massive e-mailing to all BMW dealers in PA/NJ area. All of them were ignored (yes I realize that $800 above ED invoice is kind of low, but I am willing to negotiate). I thought this is what negotiation is about. Open with a bid. And counter offer.

A big fat "NO.................".

Very nice way to treat a potential customer. Not to mention that this is pure profit for them. How much profit are they expecting for filing some paper work?

Funny thing is that I have already gotten a quote close to that number already. Good job for Devonhill to tick off a customer.

You'll eventually find someone who's willing to work with you, but you are coming off as a difficult customer right off the bat.

I think I saw your e-mail request at my dealer this morning.

Everyone was having a good laugh at it

huh? difficult?

how? I am already out lining everything right up the front. This is called difficult?

Treating them like human? WTF are you talking about. My e-mail is straight forward and to the point. A better sale would come back with better response than "NO................."

That is very impressive.

The funny thing is that i have already got a deal very close to what i sent him. The only reason that I want to check a dealer that is closer because knowing how poor BMWNA manage their dealers, if you don't buy a car from the service dealer. You are going to get poor service.

How difficult is he/she to answer the e-mail in a professional manner? How much profit should one make for preparing paper work on a car that does not come out of their allocation.

I have bought many cars within last 4 years. To this day, BMW sales remain the poorest and least professional to deal with.

good. Just another example of poor BMW sales.

no wonder sales is perceived as bunch of morons. You guys deserve the bad press you are getting. Simple as that.

The fact of matter is i have already got a car lined up at close to what I sent out. I was just trying to get a closer dealer so my sister will not receive poor service knowing how bad majority of BMW dealers are if you don't buy a car from them.

Sales blows.
