 Anxiously Waiting

Well I'm new to the forum and really like what I have seen. My wife and I did an ED 3/21 and spent two great weeks driving our new 545i (Orient Blue, Auburn leather, Premium, Sound, Sport, Step, Xenon, Nav and Sirius). Drove to Venice, Assisi, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Nice and finally Paris with a drop off date of 4/1. It is now 5/18 and still waiting for re-delivery. It is just like eating a Lays potato chip and then they take the bag away! We are on the west coast in the Sacramento area. I've been told that the car is on a ship called the Grus. Supposed to dock in Port Hueneme 5/19. Wow... that is a long trip. How much longer will I have to wait? In another week it will be 8 weeks since we dropped the car off at CDG. I don't mean to whine... just really anxious! This is my first BMW and I am completely thrilled with it. Anyway... love this group and look forward to participating in it.

A few pics of the car.

Its almost here! If you get lucky, you should see your bag of potato chips by next weekend!

Hey congrats!! You're car looks great. My delivery was 3 days before yours (Mine Friday, your's Monday) and our cars were parked in the same spot! You missed all the drama of the last two months, and some heavy duty traking of the Grus. For now, here's a picture of Grus and two of my car in the same spot as yous (the delivery day before yours), notice the trash-can, and both parked by the third vent!

My car took 10 days from docking to dealer and my dealer is only 30 minute drive from the VPC. I hope you get yours more quickly. I dropped off in Frankfurt on 3/30 and just took re-delivery on 5/16.

Hey Arnolds, how do you like that timing. He dropped off 04/01, I dropped mine after hours 03/31 as the registration expired that evening, but had to go back 04/01 and do the paper work. Then they pulled my car for 10 days to get the new windshield and hood painted at the Munich factory and I make it on the same boat as another 04/01 drop-off. Its like I didn't loose any time on the repair!

Yep, that's pretty amazing! I think on my next ED, I'll have to plan my drop off in relation to the schedule of the ships leaving Bremerhaven!
