My dealer says the BMWNA ED desk OK's my requested early September delivery date, but they say they "can't confirm that until August." That sort spooks me...I need to make plans/commit $'s, etc. I do plan to pursue this with my CA, but in the meantime, does anyone have any pearls of wisdom or experience to share?? Beewang...?

Its probably ok to make your travel plans.

However, you should be able to get confirmation from your CA around July for an August allocation build.

I requested a 5/20 date back in February, & received a letter from BMW confirming it in March. Not sure if I was supposed to get that letter, as it wasn't addressed to me  I got the official confirmation with the ED packet a few weeks ago.

Yeah... you'd be okay, as I have yet to see them backout on this type of oral comfirmation. That's not to say it won't happen but I think you will be fine.
