A big thanks to everyone here, in particular the Bee-man for making this the best ED forum on the web. I have applied all the great information I learned here, and ordered a 545i for July delivery. I was able to work out a deal with my local dealer, BMW of Austin, much to my surprise, that was for $xx over ED invoice. I placed the original order in January, and only just received confirmation that I can have my delivery date. The good news is that the ED invoice price on the 545 went down by over $500 starting with week 9 production. My salesman honored the drop in price, so I will be giving kudo's to him in the "Dealer's who like to do ED" thread. I am taking advantage of Beewang's Navigation DVD to guide us from Munich to Lucerne (staying 4 days), on to Menaggio on Lake Como for 7 days, back to Munich, drop off the car, and then on to England. My wife and I will be traveling with our 6 and 4 year old, hence the longer time at each place. All in all, we will be in Europe for 4 weeks. I can almost taste the beer already !!
