Hi, I am new to this forum. Wow, there really are alot of information herev (still trying to digest the threads one by one). My girlfriend is thinking about buying an X3 and I would like to do European delivery since I never had the chance to do so with my last purchase. However, she needs the car by mid August in Arizona and I am not sure if that will give us enough time to do it (already May 3rd today). According to BMW's website, it takes 3 months from contract to get the car ready, then 6-8 weeks for delivery after drop-off. Are those time periods flexible? Also, if anyone knows a dealer who can be recommended for ED in Phoenix area, really appreicated (I saw the thread below and didn't see much info).

Rion | Order one now, pick it up in mid-june, car should be in AZ by mid- August depending on when you drop off.

If you can swing it, try BMW of Santa Barbara in one of your neighboring states. Franco Karzag is the man to talk to.

East Coasters has been about 1month and a couple of days. West coast I have been reading here about 5-6 weeks.

I dropped off on 10/13/04 and it got to the VPC around 12/15/2004. It took another week or so to get to my dealer.
As I ordered from a dealer from out of my area, it took me another couple of weeks to get it arranged for delivery to me locally.

Seems like we are running out of time...gf still can't decide whether she wants an X3 or X5 (the latter is non ED so guess the issue would be moot at this point)...really appreciate the comments, however, guess it comes down to talking to the right dealer...
