Hi,
Anybody have particularly good or bad experiences with euro delivery using a dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area? (We live on the Peninsula close to Peter Pan and Allison BMW.)
We're considering ordering a 330 for pickup this summer and are looking for best price and service. I don't mind driving as far as Sacramento either to get a good deal.
Thanks !!

When I was thinking about doing ED back in June 2002, I contacted a few dealers in the bay area. From my impressions, I wasn't convinced I could get a good deal from bay area dealers. So I went with Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara.
If you don't mind going to Santa Barbara, Cutter Motors is very highly recommended. I suggest you shop around locally and compare the best deal you get with Cutter Motors.
Hope that helps.

I got a great deal from Niello in Sacramento. Talk to Gary Carroll and tell him Marcel sent you. $1200 over ED invoice (and a hat and keyring to boot). He's tolerated my numerous emails and even got me a non US standard option of electric rear sunshade for my 330i.
Good luck. I leave in 5 weeks to begin my ED experience!

I went through Weatherford in Berkeley. I used the Rizzo method to find someone who would give me the lowest price. And Weatherford did the best - some in the area didn't respond others (like Fresno) tried to jack up the price after a week of working out details. I didn't send anything to the lower peninsula dealers though. CalvinH 2003 540i6 Euro Delivery Black Sapphire Metallic on Sand NAV, CWP, DSP, Fold down rear seats, rear airbags, rear sunshades

I second the Cutter idea. I'll be driving my Bimmer back to the bay area and oh what a drive it will be.
Especially if you're ordering a 325Cic/330Cic.
Santa Barbara to the Bay Area? Highway 1 all the way. This is, of course, AFTER breaking the beast in on the autobahn and the riviera.
This will be the most spoiled BMW ever.
