Hi All --
Good news! Four weeks and three days after drop-off at Harms, my 330Cic has arrived at the dealership in Maryland. I have to wait another day for Sirius and the IPOD cable to be installed, but should be reunited Monday or Tuesday. However, the final ED experience was not without incident. I got a frantic call yesterday from BMW-ED requesting clarification on my address for U.S. Customs. Apparently, someone had dropped the ball and never made a follow-up request for the information, which had been requested by Customs over a week ago. This despite my salesman having called several times to make sure everything was on track. To make matters worse, I was told I'd have to pay a storage fee/penalty for delaying the car and that it would be another 10-20 business days to clear customs. Needless to say, I was pretty angry about it and let BMW-ED and my salesman know it!
This morning, I talked to my salesman at Passport BMW who explained his surprise and confusion at seeing that the car was showing delivery scheduled for today -- which quickly turned out to be true. A happy ending to what has been a frustrating day dealing with BMW-ED. My takeaway: BMW-ED really does operate in a vacuum and is not very responsive to its customers or the dealerships. My salesman explained that BMW-ED is not customer oriented and is not very responsive to them or anyone else. Apparently there is little accountability on that level.

on 3/24, we never knew that you had also ordered at Passport. Did you order through Joern at Passport?

Sounds awesome Paul. Hopefully my car made it to Passport in the same shipment, since we were on the same boat arriving in NY on 4/15. I'll have to call my dealer. I can't wait!
Enjoy your new ride. Hope the weather is nice on Mon/Tues when you pickup so you can put the top down.

I think a number of us ordered through Passport -- though they're relatively close to me. My salesman is Dave Myers -- who I first met via the internet. He's a pretty good guy, fair, and open to learning more about ED.
