 Change of options?

Until when is it generally possible to change selected options on an ordered car through ED? I would like to order about 10 weeks before my planned delivery date but I would also like to know how much time I would have to change my mind about some options...

When the car shows up in the dealer's computer as status "150" (Production started). When that status shows up on their computer, you are a done deal.

Its hard to say exactly how much time you have, in general you are relatively safe between 10~8 weeks. But I have known times where they would start production early. and the car you ordered gets build 10 weeks before your schedule pick-up date. So my advice is .... DON'T f**k around, decide your options ASAP and if you want to make changes, be prepared for the changes not be able to go thur.

Good luck,

I made changes ~5 weeks before production and had no problem (added xenon lights and rear airbags)

That is pretty tight and you were darn lucky...there are always exceptions to the rule!

As we get into summer, it will be more difficult to do so closer to the pick up date.

Definitely! Also, with a car as new in production as the e90 is, they are just getting into the swing of production, and would be undoubtedly less likely to make exceptions.
