Just curious while waiting for the car. It seems three 330i with ZHP (low M-tech front spoiler) had damage en route to Texas.
Anyone else with damage found at re-delivery in the states that wasn't there prior to drop-off?
(Yes, I'm freaking out)

It amazes me that the same quality control for shipping is not present since the same Wallenius shipping company is used. These are expensive merchandise.

(Yes, I'm freaking out) | Of the 3 Texans that had their cars redelivered with damage, 2 were ZHP (KYYuan and LDV330i) and 1 ZSP (xspeedy). The damage does not appear to be happening in Europe but as the cars are being unloaded at VPC. The ramps within the ship are pretty steep and cars need to be unloaded in a hurry. The cars are hitting the ramp at relatively high speeds causing the springs to compress and the bumpers scraping the ramp. This does not happen with US Delivery cars as they are fitted with shipping blocks so they do not bottom out. What is unforgivable is not that the car was damaged but it was noted on the VPC report and BMW chose not to anything about it. I then had to argue with them and they still forced me to use my selling dealer's body shop 100 miles away (big incovenience) and had to foot the bill for 5 days of rental car.

Yep. My ZSP was scraped up pretty good. Didn't have to worry about that issue with the X3 though

Hmmm. I scraped up one wheel pretty badly in Europe and they replaced it without me asking. The only damage I see on the car is on the lower door panel (actually the panel under the doors) on the driver side has about a 1inch black scuff mark. It didn't wash off either. I dunno if its worth making a fuss over. I'm guessing probably not.

Correction. My wheels had a bunch of tiny little rust spot bumps on them - in the broad surfaces on the outer part of the wheel. Using a clay bar I still couldn't get rid of all of them. Eventually I gave up and just zaino'd overtop. Should I report this and seek replacements or is this being way too picky?
