Had a slight change of plans and will be spending a couple extra days in Munich next week... so... I called the Dingolfing Tours reservation number.... and found out that there is only one tour a month! WTF
They tell me the 1 (one) day for February is the 25th (I'll be in Paris).
For those of you doing ED in March..... she tells me the only day in March is the 18th.

Yes... that is correct... the Dinglofing and Regensburg plant have very few english tours schedule. So it helps if you contact them early for planning purpose.

That's all cool....... I was just "under the impression" that the tours happened more often than once a month... I thought all you had to do was call and schedule to be included on one. Enough of this....
Oh well.......... at least the bier will still be cold.

I just got an email from Dingolfing....
Thank you for your question about a factory tour and congratulations to your new car. In the attachement you find the schedule for english spoken factory tours, which are usually Friday afternoon. But please mind that the minimum age, due to safety reasons, in our plant is at 14 years!

Too Bad that they won't let my 10 year old go thru the plant...guess I'll skip it since I went through about 18 months ago when they were just starting to make E60s...while they were making E39s.

I toured Dingolfing on a Friday afternoon in late January. A business associate and I were picking up two new 545's, and learned about a week before departure that we would have some extra time. I emailed Alexander at the plant and he graciously set up a tour for my associate and I on very short notice. Its a very interesting tour, but my jet lag was kicking in near the end (2hrs and 3 miles)! It may be worth an email to see if something is available. Run a search here to find the email. Good luck!
