I've been lurking for a couple of months now and finally signed-up.
I am thinking of ordering either the 325 or 330xi later this summer.
Sorry if this has been covered previously, but can I do an ED on a lease too or just purchase?

You can do an ED on either a lease or a purchase. If doing a purchase, financing through BMW Financial Services is easiest as certain banks don't like the fact that the car doesn't make U.S. soil until many months after they fork out the cash. Doing the lease works out pretty well for a lot of people, but there is the downside of not having for a couple months while the car is in transit from Europe to the U.S. for re-delivery.

I did a purchase with a loan from CapitalOne. No problem at all. They asked for the VIN number to honor the check. Everything was as it would have been for a dealer lot purchase.
