Right now I am planning to take the B179 down through Austria to the B180 into Italy through the Stelvio pass and on to the SS38. Does anyone know if this is a good way to go? MS autoroute selected this when I told them, I wanted to hit the Stelvio pass. I know..very detailed question, but maybe someone has driven between these cities before?

I have a contact picking me and a buddy up...I'm trying to see if I can get Uboat and his wife in on the deal but I don't know the carrying capacity of the guy who is picking me up.

I cannot help you on which route is preferable since I have not driven this route before, though I would be interested to hear from someone who is familiar with the subject.
