Anyonw know what work is done on the front by the dealer center when an ED is returned to the US?
In CA you (are supposed to) have a front plate, but many people seem to get away with it. I am hoping to keep the German delivery plate for the front (I might even get the license number the same to make it more legal-like), but does the dealer do any more drilling for the front to add a US standard holder?
If so, can they be persuaded not to?

It doesn't look terrific, but it'll look fine for the time you're in Europe. If you want to keep a Euro plate on the car, you'd probably want to get a Euro plate carrier.
Beware that in most states you'll get into trouble for having Euro plates on, even if they are the same number as your state-issued plate.

Quote: | Does it have to be attached to the car? | A license plate frame has to be mounted. 5201 V.C. talks about the requirements for mounting. The license plate cannot be removed but permanently attached
