Navigation Question?
If you miss an exit or deliberately take a different route, will the navigation re-adjust and give new directions based on the current position of the car?

On a related note.
Back in 2000 when we picked up my 530, we drove to Fussen to Zurich. I don't remember what the setting was, but we drove through some picturesque countryside in southern Germany and then the Nav said, take the next turn and board the ferry. Yikes!
Turns out, the nav had calculated a route that needed a crossing on the Bodensee.
It was actually a pretty cool crossing and a definite highlight of our trip back then.

Unfortunately, the "NAV Frau" has little humour (and no sexy european accent, alas), so she just tells you new directions, instead of something more creative like, "Hey Dummkopf, you missed the exit! Can't you even follow simple directions? Now, turn around, take the proper exit, and start paying attention! Sheeeeesh..."

If you miss too many turns in one day she turns off and says ,"You F@#$d up again! I give up you're hopeless. I'm taking the rest of the night off".

| Same thing happened to us in Switzerland on Lake Luzern. Turned out to be pretty cool, but wasn't necessarily the fastest/cheapest way. Since then I always selected "Avoid Ferries" preference in the Navigation options.
