A lot has happened in the past 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon my 'ED Kit' finally arrived containing a letter saying my '...vehicle is now confirmed for delivery on 03/15/2005 at the Munich Delivery Center...' The reason that I am emphasizing the importance of and the committment to this date is that my dealer forwarded a fax to me yesterday from 'The staff of the BMW European Delivery Department'. This fax stated that my delivery date was now 03/16/05!
Has anyone else had a late change made against your wishes by BMW?

That''s the first time I heard of that. Sounds like somebody screwed up.

I got my kit a couple of days ago and everything is scheduled as planned. Sounds fishy what they did to you.

I am scheduled to pick up my 750Li on 5/2, but I still have not made air or hotel reservations and now I am glad because that is the first day 750's will be available for ED. I guess I will just have to hang a little bit loose.

My car's German paperwork was prepared for a Friday delivery before someone discovered the delivery was the following Monday. That had consequences some time later which BMW NA's German liason had been warning them about. To their credit, BMW NA eventually recognized their mistake and made things right.
I would get in touch with their liason and see if you can take delivery on the 15th. In the past, they liked to do the licensing and such the day before. They may be ready and able to accomodate you Tuesday afternoon.

Has anyone else had a late change made against your wishes by BMW? | BMW requires the car to be completed at least three weeks before pickup, so my guess is that its an issue with registration or something else. Perhaps your dealer was delayed in getting the proper paperwork submitted? It's also possible that they discovered a defect in the quality check and need to replace a part, but seems hard to believe they couldn't get it sooner, given their long lead times.
