This post is directed towards xMotor (and anyone else who may have done ED recently). It looks like the ship our cars are on is called the Terrier. After clicking on the voyage details section, it looks like the car will be arriving in New York on March 13th. I'm not sure how long it will take to get through customs and VPC/trucking, but that seems pretty quick to me. I'm guessing we'll have our cars by the end of the month.
Can anyone estimate how long it takes from arrival in US before it would make it to Texas?

I looked in mine, but all I could see was a fiery eye.
Seriously, it's hard to judge how long it will take the car to show up in Texas. If there was any damage in transit, or if there's a campaign to fix some new problem, or if you're unlucky, well then, your car may take longer than you might hope.
Patience. It will be here soon enough. Anticipation heightens the pleasure once you are reunited.

Cars being shipped to the southern states. including TX, get transhipped in Spartanburg. SC. It is a small detour. The biggest issue is getting the car released from VPC. Please note that your neighbor's delivery timetable may not be necessarily be yours. There were 2 of us from TX picking up their ZHP cars up in Munich the same day. The other guy from Dallas returned his car a week later. I returned it 2 weeks later. Logic would tell you that the cars should be redelivered a week apart. The Dallas guy got his car redelivered 4 weeks before I got mine. Mine took a record setting 9 weeks for redelivery. No explanation was ever given.

I'm guessing in your case, you probably just missed the last shipment to Bremerhaven, and thus had to wait an entire cycle.
What do oyu mean transhipped to Spartanburg? Does it go through customs in NY, then get trucked to SC for the VPC work?

It was trying to get the car out of VPC that had not been damaged or in need of any repair that I knew of (though BMW did damage my car and did not repair it , but that is another story). It took 5 weeks for the car to arrive at my dealer after when it was unloaded at VPC. Dallas car did arrive at VPC 1 week before mine. That really drove me nuts wondering why my car was taking so long to get my dealer. Patience is a great virtue you learn to appreciate during this waiting period. I was really p1ssed off during that time frame. Once you get your car back for you to enjoy, all this will seem so silly. Cars for the southern states are ship to the BMW facility at Spartanburg. There they are transferred to the truck that will bring it to your dealership. BTW: Saw your posting time, should you not be getting a little more sleep? (j/k)
