 E90 ordering info

I just got back from BMW of Ann Arbor (MI). According to the latest available information, the E90 330i will not be available with the sport until September. However, the 325i will.

According to the person I had arranged to speak with before going, who was very helpful, the new ED 3's do come out of their allocation. As such, it looks like the best I will get is ED MSRP. This seems acceptable being the new model launch.

Can anyone confirm or deny these items? Also, someone posted that they were all set for May with a 330i & sport -- I was under the impression that firm delivery dates were not going to be available for ED quite yet.

Thanks for any info,

Jeff W

Thnx for the info Jeff. I am splitting your post from the "When are you going to Munich" Thread and renamed it "E90 Ordering info" Please let me know if that is a problem.

Thnx

Hi Jeff,

I think your dealer is incorrect. I know they are incorrect about the ED car coming out of their allocation. There is a US allocation of cars for the e90, and it comes out of that, but I explicitly told by BMWNA that it does not come out of the dealer's allocation. Here's a cut-n-paste of what I was told straight from BMWNA:

Quote:
Assuming there are no production problems, US production begins in March 2005 for the all-new 3 series sedan for MY 2006. European Delivery will not receive allocation until April production with deliveries not starting until after May 1, 2005.
Here's my order that shows the 03 330i with SP, with an expected date of delivery of 5/25/2005. I cut the personal info off the top:

If the ZSP wasn't available until 9/05, then why isn't it mentioned in the ordering guide? I think the ZSP is available from the start.

Great, it is reassuring to see that at least some dealers are able to take ED orders at this time for the new models.

I think that perhaps the dealer in my area needs to inquire with BMWNA about the ED specifics. I do have the brochures that they provided me with, I'll skim them again looking into the sport pkg. for 330.

Two new questions--

Is it possible to setup ED delivery currently, intending to lease, without having any mfg. pricing at this time?

A best-case scenario would be mid-May (of course not on any of the billion May holidays) -- is it realistic for me to believe that this is still possible?

If you want a May pick-up date for the E90, you better move your tail and set up the order now. A couple more days you will be looking at a June pickup date.

cheers,
