Hey all,
I plan to pick up my first BMW, a 2002 330i, this weekend, and would like to get it checked out by an independent service center during my 5-day return period. I live closest to a BMW-Mercedes Independent Service Center in Vienna VA, at Prosperity Ave and Lee Highway (right across from BMW of Fairfax dealership). Any reviews on this place (reliability, honesty, etc)? Alternatively, anyone have other recommendations in the northern VA area?
Thanks

Definately BMW of Sterling. Ask for Brad Stuller; he's the service manager.

All dealers are super expensive and will use any leverage they have to pad the cost (plus since you didn't buy it from them they won't be as cooperative or credible). BMW of Sterling is no exception BUT you have very few alternatives (plus we in NOVA never concern ourselves with cost- we all have money out of our arses). I'm still under an extended contract but I heard Curry's auto is "fair". Also it takes about 3 weeks to get into BMW of Sterling - like I said few alternatives and they have a monopoly on all the sophisticated machines necessary to diagnose and repair our high-powered motorcars. Curry's has 4 locations and a website. It might be just as prudent to use the independent place in Vienna/Merrifield. Please let us know the outcome - they say knowledge is power. Thanks

While the work they have done for me is usually good, they as has bben said are super expensive and tough to deal with. Just btook my 5er in for service and they fix what they want and we had to return again to get other items fixed...... But they took care of the non warrenty work... I've heard of Cury but never used them..
